Q1: What is the battery's cycle life? If used daily, will the capacity decrease significantly after a few years?
A1: Under standard design conditions (25℃ environment, 0.5C charge/discharge, 80% depth of discharge), our cells can maintain over 70% usable capacity after 6000 cycles.
Based on a typical household use of one full charge/discharge cycle per day, this equates to over 16 years.
In normal household use, deep cycling is not common every day, so the lifespan will be even longer.
Additionally, the system includes a built-in BMS (Battery Management System) to prevent overcharging, over-discharging, and overheating, effectively slowing down degradation.
Q2: Can this battery be used with an existing solar inverter? Or is it necessary to use your inverter?
A2: It has excellent compatibility. SAIL SOLAR ESS supports high-voltage battery communication protocols (such as CAN/RS485) and can be used with mainstream hybrid inverters on the market (such as GoodWe, Growatt, Solis, Deye, Solax, etc.).
However, we recommend providing the model of your existing inverter before purchasing.
