N-type solar panels offer superior efficiency, longer-lasting power output, better performance in heat and low light, and higher energy gains from their rear side compared to traditional panels.
The higher purity of N-type silicon and superior passivation of TOPCon/HJT technologies minimize electron recombination, resulting in greater power output from an equally sized panel. And they are immune to light-induced degradation and more resistant to potential-induced degradation, ensuring stable performance and higher long-term energy yield. A less negative temperature coefficient allows N-type panels to outperform in high-temperature environments. Higher bifaciality enables N-type panels to produce significantly more energy from rear-side light capture. N-type bifacial panels boast a higher bifaciality factor, enabling them to generate significantly more energy from reflected light on the rear side than P-type panels.
