Battery Energy Storage Systems, also called BESS, is a technological solution that helps to balance the electricity grid in real time, have become a cornerstone technology in the pursuit of sustainable and efficient energy solutions

BESS is mainly composed of four parts: battery system (BS), energy storage converter (PCS or DC/DC power converter), battery management system (BMS), and monitoring system. At the same time, in practical applications, in order to facilitate design, management and control, the battery system, PCS, and BMS are usually recombined into a modular BESS, and the monitoring system is mainly used to monitor, manage and control one or more modular BESS

BESS stores surplus energy generated from renewable energy sources such as wind and solar. This stored energy can be released when demand exceeds production. This technology plays a crucial role in integrating renewable energy into our electricity grids by helping to address the inherent supply-demand imbalance of intermittent renewable sources
